Artist’s Statement

The Verso series are abstract landscapes on unprimed canvas that are restretched, so the reverse side faces the viewer. They represent art’s untold meaning,  continuing the vanishing point of perspective through the canvas and out into the light of day. The application of paint surfaces partially intended themes that surprise me, and hint at truths about my intent, and about painting, of which I was unaware.
